Cyber Security Awareness Month at U of T

COVID-19 has pushed us even further into the realm of living and working in computing-mediated environments, throwing questions of how we safely work and live online into stark relief. Cyber security, or the practice of keeping yourself and your systems safe, is the topic of a widespread awareness campaign held every October, called “CyberSecurity Awareness Month” (SSAM).

The University of Toronto Scarborough Library is proud to work with our local Information & Instructional Technology Services on the promotion and dissemination of the University of Toronto’s activities for this year’s Cyber Security Awareness Month.

In 2020, CSAM is focusing on device appreciation. Learn more about the campaign and week by week themes designed to help you stay safe online. The library has also prepared a reading list of key materials on this topic, and will be participating in activities all month long. A full list of events and other resources created by the University of Toronto is available online.
