Three fascinating projects:
Reva Jrath - Echoes Across the Sea: Mental Health, Memory, and Resilience in the Tamil Refugee Boat Journeys. This project will be focusing on two boat landings, moments in Tamil refugee history that have received less historical attention.
Bavan Pushpalingam - Focusing on Scarborough's Tamil foodscapes as living archives of migration and belonging.
Hailey Nam - Reimagining The Legend of Ponnivala as a short. AI-assisted animated film. The fellows will be collaborating with U of T.
Scarborough Library's staff from the Digital Scholarship Unit as well as community and faculty partners to complete their projects. We look forward to the many new conversations and knowledge these projects will bring to the Digital Tamil Studies Collections.
