Alumni
The alumni reader and alumni research reader cards give alumni borrowing privileges and can be purchased at the Robarts Library Reader Registration desk. Alumni may pick up and return books to the U of T Scarborough Library.
Members of the public
Members of the public are welcome to visit the U of T Scarborough Library. Guest WIFI is provided.
However, please note that the U of T Scarborough Library currently doesn’t provide any borrowing privileges, access to computers, or printing services to the public.

Library staff can answer your questions about the Library via email or chat. We are also happy to refer you to other sources for research help.
High school students - new, starting January 6, 2025
The UTSC Library High School Borrower Card is available to secondary school students in the GTA. Valid student photo identification must be presented at each visit. The UTSC Library High School Borrower Card can only be used at the U of T Scarborough Library and The BRIDGE.
Privileges
- Borrow up to 4 stacks books at a time
- 14 day loan period
- Up to one renewal (in person or by phone)
- On-site access to some of the University of Toronto Libraries' electronic resources
- Guest WiFi available; please bring own device
Restrictions
- No special collections materials, such as Popular Collection, periodicals, or course reserves items, including tech lending
- No borrowing from other U of T Libraries
- No intercampus delivery & interlibrary loans
- No remote access to University of Toronto Libraries' electronic resources
- No room booking
Starting January 6, 2025 - Apply for a High School Borrower Card.
