Join us for a viewing party and awards ceremony for Captivate: UTSC's Digital Storytelling Competition. During the session we will watch the top 5 submissions and the judges will provide a real-time critique and analysis of the content submitted.

Meet the Judges (In Alphabetical Order)
Professor Sandford Borins, UTSC Department of Management
Sandford Borins is a Professor of Public Management Emeritus, Department of Management at the University of Toronto Scarborough, where he served as its founding Chair from 1991 to 2003. He has graduate appointments at the Strategic Management area at Rotman, the School of Public Policy and Governance, and the Political Science Department. He is also a Research Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School. His research focuses on narrative and innovation. His books include, The Persistence of Innovation in Government (2014), Governing Fables: Learning from Public Sector Narratives (2011) and Innovating with Integrity (1998). He is currently working on a sequel to Governing Fables dealing with management narratives about the private sector.
Professor Joanna Heathcote, UTSC Department of Management
Joanna Heathcote is an Associate Professor, Teaching Stream, in Organizational Behaviour at UTSC. Her interests include organizational justice, inclusive leadership, and emotions, in particular empathy. Prof. Heathcote also teaches several courses in human resources and managerial skills.
Raquel A. Russell, Communications Coordinator, UTSC Library
Raquel A. Russell is a multimedia storyteller with experience as a communications professional, journalist and podcaster. A first-generation Canadian of Jamaican descent, her life and work are shaped by her love for storytelling, her interest in the impacts of religion and societal systems, and her desire to pursue fulfilling experiences. In a time where digital storytelling continues to drive brands, gather attention and make or break careers, it is important to make sure your story is told right, and that’s where Raquel can help you. Ray Ligaya, Head of Talent Relations, Viral Nation

Ligaya is also the Chief Executive Officer at Mansuki Recordings. The business was established by Ray Ligaya and Marco Cian, both avid music enthusiasts. Mansuki Recordings is an independent record label that supplies artists, producers, and engineers a platform for music career development.
