In honour of the Year of Poetry, the UTSC Library has embarked on a project to create the Medicine Cabinet Poetry Collection – a collection giving access to multilingual poetry reflective of U of T Scarborough’s communities. We are collecting poetry in the following five languages (presented in the original language), and which represents our community linguistically: English, Cantonese, Tagalog, Bengali, and Tamil. We are inviting our community to get involved! At this event, we are inviting you to collaborate with us to help build our collection!

This event, hosted in the U of T Scarborough Library student lounge by librarian Paulina Rousseau, will include poetry readings, collaborative generative poetry writing, and a chance for you to help us choose poems that you would like to see in the collection!

Please join us for an afternoon of inspiration while we listen to a variety of poetry that will help to inspire, entertain, enlighten, and uplift, and help us to build our blossoming collection and make sure that your favourite works are included.
