UTSC Library is launching a new digital collection of engaging and scientifically accurate mini-documentaries that are designed to build your understanding of biology topics, because science is everywhere and for everyone!
The Biology Video Documentary Project Collection is a collection of engaging, documentary videos (and transcripts) that relay scientific evidence on a topic of everyday interest to a lay audience. We hope these learning artifacts are a fun way for the broader UTSC community to learn about a variety of interesting biology topics. These documentaries are short (<5mins) and represent outstanding work produced by UTSC students in the BIOC90H (Integrative Multimedia Documentary Project) course. The collection will include samples of outstanding documentaries from 2021-2022 and will continue to grow each following academic year.
To celebrate the first year of the collection, the UTSC Library in collaboration with the Department of Biological Sciences is hosting the People’s Choice Award! Which video do you think communicates the science the best?! Have your say in celebrating and valuing science in our lives, and share facts about science you care about with your peers!
Browse the collection and cast your vote for your favourite of 2021/22. Deadline extended to May 23, 2022 at 5:00pm EDT.
