<strong>Date:</strong> Thursday, November 10, 2022<br/> <strong>Time:</strong> 10:00am - 11:30am<br/> <strong>Location:</strong> Online<br/> <p>This is part 3 of a 3-part workshop series where we will use evidence-based learning strategies and mindfulness practices to help you settle and focus your mind, create an intentional approach to how you navigate text, and develop strategies for deep reading. During this third workshop, you will join Benjamin Pottruff, Learning Strategist from Academic Success, and <a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/dan-d-agostino-67687b49/?originalSubdomain=ca">Dan D'Agostino</a>, a Librarian at Robarts and a certified teacher of Compassion Cultivation Training, to discuss how to read and consume academic content in a digital world. <br />

Topics covered during this session will include: </p>

<li>Understand how reading in a digital age has fragmented our information intake to screen reading, watching videos, and listening to podcasts </li>
<li>Investigate how different digital media have an impact on how we comprehend information </li>
<li>Discuss strategies and mindful approaches for academic learning in each digital medium (audio, video, text) </li>
</ul>
<p>This session will include meditative practices, sharing of learning strategies, open discussion, and opportunities to apply and practice mindful reading skills.</p>
