COVID-19: Updates on library services and operations

Updated March 24, 2021

The UTSC Library is partially open as a study space for University of Toronto students, staff and faculty. The UTSC Library Makerspace and The BRIDGE spaces remain closed. Please view our library hours for current hours of operation.

Booking a study space

Current U of T students, faculty and staff can reserve study spaces for up to 4 hours by making an appointment via the library booking system. It encouraged that you book a study space before entering the library for your study session. A booking confirmation will be required at the front desk. The UTSC Library height-adjustable accessible table (seat 138A) is now also available for bookings.

Please refer to our library access policies for current information regarding access and health and safety measures.

Visit the UTSC Library's Frequently Asked Questions for more details on library access, study spaces and borrowing materials.

Library curbside pickup service

U of T students, staff and faculty are eligible to use the library's Curbside Pickup Service for print books not available through the HathiTrust Emergency Temporary Access Service (ETAS). For pickup service hours see our library hours

Loan periods

Loan periods have been extended and no late fines are being charged at this time. Renewals for Pickup Service items are not necessary. Do not renew items, as this will interfere with the loans extension script. Please continue to visit our website for up-to-date borrowing information.

Remote Resources and Guidance for Users

UTSC Library staff are ready to continue assisting students, faculty and staff online. Get live assistance from the library. The library also provides expert help and services such as consultations and resources.

UTSC Library Makerspace

The UTSC Library Makerspace is closed. Check out online workshops provided by the Makerspace team.
